Peppery Cauliflower-Potato sabji

My successful second post, though tis is a common sidedish we make at home i find adding pepper gives a twist to the curry.
Here goes the recipe:

Ingredients:

Cauliflower- 1  whole (cut into tiny florets and put in salted boiling water )
Potato- 1 no(cut into tiny pieces)
Peas-i've not added but can be added
Big Onion-1no chopped fine
Curry leaves- few sprigs
Pepper powder- 1tsp
turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
salt to taste
To season:
Mustard-1/4tsp
Urad dhal-1/2tsp
Jeera-1/2tsp

Method:

1.Prepare the cauliflower as worms might be hiding under the florets..so soak in hot salted water for 10 mins, then wash twice to remove traces of pesticides if any...now put tis in a colander..
2.Chop onions and potato(put in a bowl of water to avoid darkening).
3.Take a kadai..heat add 2tsp of oil, when hot season with mustard when it starts to splutter add urad dhal and jeera and fry for a few seconds, careful not to burn .add curry leaves.
4.Then add onions and saute for 1minute ,then add the cauliflower, potao and peas -straining the water, give a nice stir add salt and mix well.
5.Cover and cook for 5 minutes and check for salt ,then check if it needs water to cookif so  sprinkle some water about less than 1/4 cup.mix and cook..
6.Then when when all water is gone and the veges are cooked...Switch off flame and transfer to serving bowl and serve with sambar rice...
